Frosted Inferno

By Sabrina G

I love elemental magick and the idea of Yin and Yang.  Frosted Inferno is a fantastic story about a young college girl trying to find her place in this world.  In her hometown, people thought she was a freak and an outcast.  At her new school though, things began to change, her life would never be the same.

Sabrina does an amazing job of enticing you with the slow burn romance between two of the main characters.  She keeps you on your toes with all the twists and turns, trials, and tribulations of chosen ones.  I love the way she intertwined the past with the present and connected the storylines into a cohesive novel.

I highly recommend Frosted Inferno to any book lover that loves forbidden romance, suspense, mystery, and spice.

Five stars for sure.  I can't wait to see where the story goes from here.  Follow the link below to buy the book!

This trilogy was a page turning slow burn romance that kept you on your toes. It starts with Claudia competing for the coveted chef's spot at the Violante family restaurant. As she is preparing for the competition, she is working too hard. Upon leaving the competition, she faints. To save face, for his family's sake, Amando must follow her to the hospital to make sure she is okay. What he doesn't realize is that she is the woman of his dreams. Not to mention that his parents love her too.

This fantastic trilogy has spice, food, romance, suspense, and so much more as you follow the adventure of two people, which are opposites at the beginning, but become the perfect yin and yang.

These books are very beautifully written with spicy scenes spread throughout. You can picture the interactions in your mind. I can imagine walking into a restaurant in Santa Cruz and expecting to see Amando and Claudia working together. I highly recommend these books. I would suggest that you read them in order. They are not standalone books. They build the suspense off each other.

This book is amazing. The tension between Gisela and Alvaro gets under your skin. Their interactions truly keep you guessing at what will happen between them. There is animosity between the two main characters. Dark secrets from Gisela's past keep her from trusting anyone. Their forced proximity to each other after finding out they must work together is one of the hooks that really keeps you interested in this slow burn romance, which takes place in her family's garage.

I would recommend this book to anyone that loves motorcycles, sassy girls, hot men, and intrigue of how the past will affect their working relationship. There are twists and turns that you will not expect and an ending that will make you drool for the next book.

The culture, the family bond, and the work ethics of the main characters are something to behold. I would love to live in their world. Saira Musa does a fantastic job of bringing you into the world of Gisela and Alvaro.

They both lost someone they loved.

This was a very dark romance, but well worth it.  Yes, there was a lot of violence, but for what Theo and Dusty went through, could you really blame them.  Dusty was never part of Theo's plan for revenge, but when she called him to ask for help, his world was turned upside down.

She took the place of her twin sister.  Theo loved them both for very different reasons.  This book is full of Mystery, romance, suspense, revenge, spice and enemies to lovers.  Melinda Owens does not disappoint in this dark romance novel.

What a rollercoaster of emotions?!?!

This book is action packed from start to finish.  It starts with a girl witnessing her best friend die tragically and her bother Po is missing.  Rebel must find Po to get to the bottom of what happened to her best friend and the plot that caused her death.

Join Rebel on this hot and heavy ride of her life to save her childhood crush.

Crone

by Jeannie Weicherly

Wow, what a perfect book for Mother's day.    Her son was involved in a tragic accident.  But something never felt quite right about the whole thing.  Her grief will take her on a wild ride that she never saw coming.  I will never look at an oak tree or an acorn the same way again.

Kill Your Darlings

LE Harper

Absolut amazing novel. I really enjoyed this novel and the characters. The author did an amazing job of telling two stories in one. You learn a lot about the writing process and the struggles faced by and author and her publishing team if she has one. The world building is clear and detailed, the characters have their own personalities and are relatable even if they are fantasy characters. This is a very dark retelling of the Wizard of Oz, but it has an amazing message for a neurodivergent reader. I am so glad I took my chances with a book with so many trigger warnings and emotional turmoil. As a reader that suffers with mental issues, I would highly recommend this book to anyone that suffers from Depression, anxiety and stress wanting to know if there is hope at the end of the tunnel we call life. This book truly touched my life and I look forward to reading my by this amazing author.

If you love Scottish Folklore with the promise of a slow burn romance the story of Selia and Damian is the one for you.  Amanda creates the most amazing world that melds the Scottish Folklore with modern day romance.  With a bit of a Little Mermaid vibes, pirates and selkies with vengeful orders wanting to keep things hidden.  Alex and Amy are intriguing characters that keep you interested and wanting to know more.  Great start to an intriguing series.

Five Star all the way!!!

This book had kind of a Beauty and the Beast vibe to it.  The characters were amazing, and the world building was spot on.  It's a second chance romance book, with notes of forced marriage gone wrong, forced proximity and a bad ass main character.  I can't wait to see what comes next.

Break the Silence

by Calliope Parrish

This is a highly creative story that takes place in the modern world.  The main character is a strong female with a mysterious subconscious, she doesn't understand.  The main male character has a life he is not supposed to share, but his desperation for Phi's help, makes him choose to tell her.

Great dragons are coming back into the world, but there is a group of people that don't want the world to know of them.  It is up to Josephine and Aeronden to keep them safe and save the rest of the clans before they are taken out.

A chef for Violante:

All It Takes Is One Chef.

by Saira Musa

I enjoyed this book very much. Saira Musa did a fantastic job of bringing both Amando and Claudia to life. I can imagine walking into the restaurant or hospital and meeting either of them.
Amando is a very arrogant man; he does know how to be charming when it suits him. I can imagine the stress he is under with his daytime job and his family's restaurant. Claudia is a strong self-driven woman in her late twenties. Having watched a few of the cooking competitions, I can imagine the fatigue she must have been feeling when she passed out. Saira Musa did a fantastic job of introducing the characters and letting us know who they are and why we should love them. The details provided about the settings are so in-depth that you can feel the elegance of the car, the smells of the food and the decor of the houses and restaurants.
There is just enough description of the tension between the two main characters that you can imagine the physical struggle they both face. The attraction between Amando and Claudia is well anticipated and the end leaves you wanting to know if they act upon their attraction or if they part ways.
I enjoyed this book and would highly recommend this book to anyone that loves food, romance, and a physical attraction between two very strong main characters.

Lies & Rumors

Calliope Parish

I love this series. I want to visit the world Theo and Gem live in. I want to be part of their amazing found family. I love how the author integrated each character's accent into the dialog to show the diversity of the group. The descriptions of the grand dragons flying and defending Phi and Aer is something to behold for sure. Theo and Gem are both on a journey of redemption and finding themselves, along with understanding the mystery of who this new group is and what their purpose is. I look forward to the next journey in the story, the ending definitely keeps you wanting more. I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves dragons and found family.

This series gets better with each book!!! This book focuses on Jett and Amara. It’s an amazing coming of personality story of the continuing fight of the Aikanaro and Rikashi clans. The Story keeps you on your toes and gets you hot in all the right places. The emotions of the characters are so well written, that it truly takes you into the minds of the characters. The spice in the book is not intrusive and fits beautifully. Each story brings in enough of the last story for the reader to understand what is going on. Though I would recommend reading all the books. I highly recommend it and can’t wait for the next one to come out.

There is nothing more gut wrenching than betraying someone you love.  But in this book, that is just what Lobo Gris does to Katie.  He has no idea what his betrayal is going to do to her, but this time it will change his life forever.

This is for sure not my normal read, but I have never been happier to take a chance with a new genre.  It is a dark romance, that started off with a lot of spice and never stopped.  There are some very dark issues, that some people might find offensive, but the end justifies the means, and the twists and turns will keep you on your toes.

"F#@k me or fight me but make it look good."

Blood Promotion

by MJ Klipfel

I don't know what to say about this book. It is amazing in so many ways. The characters are full of life, love and passion. As a former reporter I can identify with Tessa and her desire to do whatever it takes to get that perfect scoop, no matter what the cost. Sam and the other characters are fascinating and unforgettable. The suspense keeps you on your toes and makes it hard to put it down. If you liked the Underworld movies, you would love this book. By the end of the book, I was regretting not having book two in my hands so I could keep reading. I am so glad I took a chance on this book and can't wait for the next book to come out. It is definitely on my TBR book!!

This book is amazing. A perfect continuation of book one, Blood Promotion. Tess and Ben are on the run from the Vampires and the werewolves.  You never know what to expect and the plot twists and turn with every page.  The world building in perfect, the characters come to life with each chapter.  The romantic tension is something to be admired.  MJ Klipfel has done it again.  For a baby author, she has the art of writing down pat.  The book truly kept me on my toes and the ending definitely kept me wanting more!!  I can’t wait for the next book to find out what happens with The Wolfborn’s court of misfits. I would highly recommend this book to anyone that loves Wolves, Vampires, fae, war and fated mates.

Fae Creatures have a way of stealing the show when it comes to Scottish Folklore.  Damian and Selia's story continue is this Slow burn romance with Mystery, suspense and a great story line.  Selia desperately wants to remember the past ten years and find what she is missing. Damian wants to forget the memories of the last ten years and move on with his life.  As Amy continues to send cryptic messages to Selia, their journey continues.  I love this book and can't wait to see where the story goes from here!!!

The Valontina Connection:

Secrets Uncovered book 2.

By Saira Musa

Another fantastic suspense romance with a cliff hanger ending. Upon returning home, the characters are faced with more challenges. Will the past ever go away? Family relationships bring more hurdles to this blooming love story. The tides keep turning for this couple that you want to be together in the end.

A Chef for Violante:

Persuading Her My Way

by Saira Musa

Book two starts off shortly after book one ends. The reader will find themselves in the middle of the physical turmoil of Claudia and Amando. Amando followed Claudia on her little vacation to convince her to come work for him after his chef walked out and left things a mess. The tables turn in book two, with a plot twist, which leaves the mind reeling. Amando ends up in the hospital, instead of Claudia. The motivations of the characters are easy to follow as the story progresses. There are new characters that add a new element of turmoil for the main characters. There is plenty of spice to whet the appetite. The story continues to unfold in a very appetizing way that keeps you wanting more. I would highly recommend this book to any foodie romance lover. The ending of the book leaves just enough open to the imagination that you would want to finish the trilogy. I look forward to reading the final book in the trilogy.

Lost in Tarot

Land:

A Dark Alice In Wonderland Retelling

by Killian Wolf

I have always loved the story of Alice in Wonderland. This is an amazing retelling that takes it in a whole new direction. Killian Wolf has done it again with amazing characters, adventures of a lifetime and a killer ending that keep you hanging in a good way. Pirates, Spiders, Tarot Cards and found family. Amazing world building and character creations.

Dance of Magic

by Carolina Castillio

Trauma in life is what makes us who we are today.  But in the world of Magic, trauma can keep us from being who we are meant to be.  Julia has held on to the death of her mother, for so long she doesn't know what to do anymore.  Magic is not part of her life and not something she ever wants to deal with again.  But to lose her Magic, she must first learn to use it.  When she meets Lucas, her world is turned upside down by this man.  Through the magic of music and romance, Julia must learn to deal with her dark trauma filled past and move onto who she is meant to be.

There are some very dark issues in this book that could be triggering for readers, but if you can stick with it, the end is worth the darkness.  I would gladly recommend this book to anyone that loves music, romance and Magic.  The characters are hard not to love.

I absolutely love Sabrina and Vitorio. They are a match made in heaven. I love the way the author integrated Sabrina's heritage into the story. Vito sounds like the perfect Book boyfriend every woman would want. He is so hungry to get a taste of this spicy Latina that plays hard to get. He knows what he wants, and he will do anything to win her over. Sabrina is a headstrong Latina that knows where she needs to keep head if she wants to find out what is going on with her family's money.
The book is well written and keeps you on your toes waiting to read what's next for this workplace romance, forbidden love duo. There is enough spice to whet your appetite and make you crave the intimacy they have. This book is not for the faint of heart that don't want a lot of spice in their books. It is definitely an adult book. It is for sure a romantic thriller, with an incredible secret identity trope and everything in between. The characters are well written, and the word play gets you going through all the emotions of the main characters. I can't wait to read more from Celine Marciel.

I had just learned about The Cailleach when I came across this book. I wanted to know more and Corina Douglas did not disappoint. Through her telling of the story I learned so much about the druids and the Celtic deities. She brought them to life. Gage was an amazing character from the moment he walked into the jewelry shop. Bridie was head strong but took to her new life the best way she knew how. The timeline was well done. I loved how the ancient world of Scotland was interwoven into the current timeline. This story did not disappoint at all. I look forward to reading the rest.
